Rosemary Beach Wedding – We always get excited when Jennifer from It’s a Shore Thing contacts us to meet a bride because we know it’s going to be a beautiful event with the best vendors in the area.  Amy & Chad’s Rosemary Beach wedding on the Western Green was no exception. They booked us almost a year ago, which worked out great since May 14 ended up being THE most popular wedding day of the season.  Every detail of the wedding was just beautiful, from the blue shoes Amy chose all the way to that chocolate buttercream groom’s cake. It couldn’t have been a more perfect afternoon.

We love it when a bride adds a splash of color fun to her wedding attire, and these blue shoes did not disappoint! Rosemary Beach Wedding with It's a Shore Thing

Once again, clean, white bouquet, but the blue ribbon wrapped around the stems really enhanced these gorgeous flowers. Rosemary Beach Wedding with It's a Shore Thing

Some couples are high maintenance and others are super laid back. Marti & Mark were definitely in the laid back category. It was a weekday destination wedding with their close friends and family and it was a perfect day. Of course, Jennifer of It’s a Shore Thing helped on that part! Marti’s gorgeous silk gown floated along the sand as if she were Cinderella.

Sarah and Trey were married this past December at the First United Methodist Church in Ft. Walton with reception following at Kelly Plantation. You might remember these Auburn Grads from their Auburn engagement session we did last year! We love these two and are happy that they just moved to Pensacola after their wedding.

There was lots of Auburn happening around this wedding! Hmmmm…. What could Trey be doing with that shoe?  We’ll get back to that. One of my favorite ring shots from 09′How can you not love these blue shoes?
Sarah was just stunning… How about a formal photo?   Or two….. Ah yes, the shoes.  Trey was full force Auburn! Their first born…. CUTE dog! Some reception details…. Lot’s of red for the season! I really love this cake.  Classic, beautiful, and it tasted really good! Of course this was a masterpiece as well! You’ll recognize this Auburn building from their engagement session. They left in a vintage Ford and it was a great way to end the evening!

Alrighty! Here is part 2 of William and Sidney as promised. Seriously, I’m still in awe every time I see these photos. It was a Halloween with a sunset that is just burned in my head. If you missed part 1, you can click HERE to see it.

Halloween of 2009 will be one of those wedding days we’re not soon to forget. Sidney and William chose Rosemary beach for their October 31, wedding with all of its charm which matches their personalities to a Tee. Everything lined up perfectly for their wedding as usual with the help of the “It’s a Shore Thing” crew. Rae did a bang up job on their Atlanta e-session back in September that we will be blogging with our many other Fall e-sessions soon. For now, enjoy part 1 of their wedding post. Part 2 will follow soon!

Ashleigh and Galen booked us on what had to be the most popular Saturday of the year. We had three brides wanting to book us for this date within two hours of each other, and Ashleigh managed to seal the deal first! We first met them at their engagement session in Atlanta last Fall, and we knew then that Ashleigh had great taste for their wedding. This was a beautiful intimate event at a private beach house (Palazzo Del Sol) in Destin, with food and florals from the always fantastic Celestine’s. The weather was a little tricky with spotty rain showers off and on, but the back yard tent overlooking the Gulf was a lifesaver for everyone. The large, puffy, purple clouds are always great for photos, especially when blue skies are peaking through.

052609-01Ashleigh’s niece and nephew were in the wedding and quite helpful while getting dressed…

052609-02Just lovely…

We did it.  We went to “the other side” when we visited the beautiful campus of Auburn University for Sarah and Trey’s E-session.  It was so worth it!  We are Bama fans, but it didn’t hurt too badly since the campus is so beautiful.  We met the happy couple outside of Toomer’s Drugs and we saw their school pride as they walked up.  Orange and Blue all the way!  They were so easy to photograph.  They needed very little direction and they didn’t care that people were around.

We walked to some of their special places around campus and then we made our way back to Toomer’s.  It was a little warm that day and Sarah suggested some of Toomer’s famous lemonade.  Oh boy, that stuff is good! How weird is it that it snowed less than 2 weeks before this session and everyone around us was in shorts?

We look forward to their December wedding with the super talented ladies at It’s A Shore Thing.  I really can’t wait to see all of the details.

My favorite!

Trey actually proposed on this swing…..

Oh how we love Spring!

and we’ll finish with a nice portrait!

We are so excited about Lauren and Colin’s wedding! They are from Mobile (just like Wes and me) and they are getting married in Inlet Beach in May. Lauren and Colin are our kind of people. They are silly and don’t take too much serious! But, the best part is that they hired It’s A Shore Thing to plan their wedding. These ladies are awesome and the wedding is going to be so much fun. Colin is Scottish, so we might even see a kilt or two.

Anyway, we met in Fairhope, Alabama, for their session and walked around downtown and then headed to the pier. Fairhope is such a quaint town full of great walls and porches and blooming flowers.

I told you there were flowers everywhere!

Lauren is so happy all the time! She laughs when we ask for serious!

LOVE this one! And, love the wall reflecting in the window. See the actual wall on the next one down.

Lauren might just kill me for posting this one. She wanted to do it!!

I love how they just look so happy and loved!

This past weekend was the wedding of Candace and Justin in Sandestin. They were married on the beach at the beautiful Sandestin Resort with the reception following at the conference center in the Sandestin Grand Hotel at Baytowne Wharf. This was the first time we have been in this particular conference room, and it is a great venue for anyone looking at the Sandestin area with plenty of room and classy decor’. The day of coordination was provided by the always talented ladies at It’s a Shore Thing and they kept things flowing smooth as usual!
Great dress for a beach wedding!
Wes caught this candid right after the corset was laced…. Love it!
Wes caught this candid as soon as she got the dress on..beautiful
Bright colors rock!

Justin\'s wedding band is probably my favorite to date.....
Candace was beautiful of course!
And of course Candace was beautiful....
Not a shot we normally do, but the storm clouds were beautiful...
How about a shot of the guys this week? That’s the Sandestin Grand behind them FYI….
How about a shot of the guys this week. That\'s the Sandestin Grande in the background....
Justin was dashing as well…

My favorite close up of the ring exchange from Rae to date….

This cake was F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C It was made by Sandestin Golf and Beach Club’s Pastry Chef Yasha Becker. It was amazingly good!

It was a beautiful first dance…..

Followed by the cake…

And a couple of great toasts…

And even the grandmothers wanted to party with the kids!

We met Brooke & Tim earlier this year thanks to Jennifer with It’s A Shore Thing. They were so laid back then and their wedding was the same. Brooke & Tim, their families, and most of their guests came from Texas to our gorgeous beaches. It was warm, but absolutely perfect for a wedding. The whole day went super smooth thanks to Jennifer and her crew! The reception was at Finz restaurant in the Sandestin Resort and the wedding was on the beach right outside from Finz. Celestine’s (the florist) did a fabulous job with the flowers and the beach set up. The ribbons leading to the ceremony site were so great. The reception was nice too. There was 3 flavors yummy cupcakes and at 10pm warm cinnamon rolls were served. Then the real festivities began. The karaoke machine was turned on and there was some serious singing. I was so happy that most of the songs were from the 80’s and I knew all the words!!

Tim was looking dashing…

Brooke was sporting the Wow factor herself…..

Here we go…

The ceremony decor’ was FANTASTIC

Typical amazing details from Celestine’s and Jennifer…..

They had a great rehearsed first dance to Elvis….

And then the “Backstreet Boys” showed up a little later!

What a fantastic wedding last weekend at the new Emerald Grande Resort in Destin, FL. I think Tim and Carol had their heart set on this place the minute they saw it last year. I can’t say I blame them after seeing it for myself. They are a genuine, gracious and loving couple who have been just a pleasure to know and work with. They chose Jennifer Warwick-Lewis and the crew from “It’s a Shore Thing” event planning in Grayton Beach, and they did a superb job with the decor’! And, just like Jen said…”it went as smooth as silk.” This post is a little long since I could not decide on my favorites…….

Here’s the Emerald Grande sitting at the Destin Pass

This was actually a HUGE painting in the lobby that we just had to incorporate….

The ladies were having a great time

The oh so radiant Carol….

I spy a RAE!! Can you see her?

Carol’s brother walked her down the aisle

I love the feel of this one

There is absolutely nothing I can say about this decor’ that it’s not already screaming….

Tim’s dad gave a lovely toast before dinner

The cake cutting got a little bit messy

This one was just too cute not to include!
