Alabama Wedding Photographer – Sara & Davis were married last month in another gorgeous Alabama wedding. It was a four day event starting out Thursday night with a private blessing for close family and friends, a bridal luncheon on Friday for the bridesmaids, a rehearsal with spectacular decor’ on Friday night, a full wedding day on Saturday, and then a Sunday brunch where another family member was proposed to. We are still sorting the 11,000 photos we took with the help of five other photographers we’re proud to call our friends. We’re not going to release too much yet for publication reasons, but this will give you an idea of what a special event it was. We’ll showcase more in the near future, including their Africa themed rehearsal dinner that you won’t want to miss! Be sure to see their Alabama engagement session blog post if you missed it. The weather was cold and nasty on the wedding day, so we will also be doing a “day after” session with the couple in the very near future to complete their wedding gallery. Stay tuned!
Update! The Day After Session can be seen Here!
We have a special treat for you today from one of our recent engagement sessions. Nothing makes us happier than an awesome couple, their dogs, a rope swing, and South Alabama. Sara and Davis will be married this winter, and we feel so blessed to be a part of their wedding. We knew as soon as we started this session that they were going to make it easy on us because they are just so good together… and they did. This is probably one of our favorite sessions to date. Hope you enjoy the photos as much as we do!

Where do we even start with this one? Sara and Jonathan are an amazing couple and it seems like we go way back. Sara first contacted us back in 2008, and we kept in touch while they explored all options for their wedding date. Sara is quite the photographer herself, and she was looking for one that was a little less traditional than most in Mobile. We hit it off from the beginning and knew her wedding was going to be fantastic. Jonathan proposed in New Orleans, so we were more than excited to go to the Big Easy for an engagement session with them last Fall. It was a beautiful afternoon, so we took advantage of the weather and had a great time waling the French Quarter. One thing we love about Mobile (we both grew up there) is how much the downtown area resembles New Orleans. For their wedding this past May, they chose a beautiful location in the heart of Mobile that really has that French Quarter feel. If you didn’t know any better, you would probably think it was New Orleans just looking at the photos. The beautiful brick courtyard was a perfect place for the ceremony with plenty of room to party for the reception. I think we can both say it’s one of our favorite new Mobile venues.
Photographers: All of our blog photos are now prepared with some help from our good friends over at BlogStomp. We’ll start with a few engagement photos from New Orleans
The woman singing on the left is a New Orleans attraction herself and has an amazing soulful voice. It was an experience to hear her…. Nothing to see here officer…. move along. A few wedding details including that beautiful dress… The backdrops are amazing as well. The red wallpaper in the dining room was beautiful…. Since photos were so important to Sara, she and Jonathan saw each other prior to the wedding to give us a lot more time….
The girls were sporting some bright wraps and having a lot of fun…
But the guys had their own ideas for fun portraits….
This still cracks me up looking at it. Apparently the ring was forgotten upstairs until line-up time for the ceremony. Sara looks so mean here, but it was pretty hilarious…
The priests were checking out the guests through the window… Two beautiful ladies right here…
That cake and the food were ridiculously amazing!
Just a wonderful ambiance as the sun was setting….
When you’re honeymooning in NYC, there’s only one way to leave a wedding! This was the first wedding we tested ShootShed on and it was a major success!
What a weekend it was! Sara & Jonathan had a beautiful Mobile, AL wedding, and we got to introduce our new photobooth version 2.0 to the wedding guests. More to come on that later…. For now, enjoy this elegant little sneak preview!
We headed to our home turf of Mobile, AL to photograph Sarah and Tom’s wedding a few weeks ago. It was a sweet wedding at an amazingly beautiful church! We met at Sarah’s sister’s home for some getting ready photos and that was the first time we met Sarah. She was so calm and laid back…love that! After that, we had a little First Look session for the couple at a gorgeous bed and breakfast. Their ceremony was at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and it was full of stone, marble, and granite. I am pretty sure it is one of the most beautiful churches I have seen on the Gulf Coast. We had some tropical weather move through in the wee hours of the morning, so the weather was cloudy, sunny, and really windy all at the same time. We were so glad the rain held off after dodging it for the previous two weddings!
Sarah made these cute boutonnieres and corsages herself out of fabric and I LOVE them!! She put the bouquets together too.
This confessional room had some beautiful light….
Wes caught this before the big walk down the aisle. I think I’ll title this one “patiently waiting”.
This is one of my favorite ceremony moments that Rae has captured…. Sarah reached over and caught a little tear of Tom’s.
We had a great walk to the reception…..
